New York | First dish of crab sauce in autumn🦀

The autumn wind is picking up, and that can only mean one thing—it’s prime crab-eating season! 🦀 If you’re obsessed with Korean food, do yourself a favor and make the trip to Flushing’s Ktown. Trust me, it’s a total hidden gem that’s way too good to miss! Getting there is easier than you think: from Midtown’s Pennsylvania Station, just hop on the LIRR, and in 25 minutes, you’ll be stepping off into a whole world of deliciousness. Compared to Manhattan’s Ktown, the menu here feels endless—so many more classic and homey dishes—and the prices? Chef’s kiss. Affordable enough to order a spread without stressing, and every bite tastes like it’s made with care 😋 🦀️ Marinated Crab (Gejang) This was the absolute star of the meal—we practically fought over the last bite! The crab shells are stuffed to the brim with sweet crab roe and tender meat, then they pile a scoop of fluffy rice on top, and douse it all in that iconic salty-spicy sauce. When you dig in, the rice soaks up all the sauce, the crab meat melts in your mouth, and the roe adds this rich, creamy kick. One bite, and I was in heaven—so satisfying, I kept going back for more even when I was full! Korean BBQ Their grilling game is solid too. We got pork belly, and it came out perfectly: crispy, slightly charred edges, and that melt-in-your-mouth fat that makes pork belly so addictive. They serve it with a mountain of fresh kimchi, crunchy bean sprouts, and lettuce wraps—wrap a piece of pork with all the fixings, and it’s so flavorful, you don’t even notice the grease. Total comfort food at its best! We also tried the tofu soup, but honestly, it was just okay—nothing to write home about. My heart still belongs to Cho Dang Gol’s tofu soup; theirs has this depth of flavor with the perfect amount of spice that’s hard to beat! All in all, this spot’s a winner—great food, cozy vibes, and that authentic Korean home-cooking feel. If you’re craving crab or just want to explore beyond Manhattan’s dining scene, this is the place to be. 📍 Myung San 162-21 Depot Rd, Queens, NY 11358 #LocalFaves #NewYorkFoodie #NewYorkFood #NewYorkKoreanFood #NewYorkLife #FlushingFood #FlushingNY
