I love this place. HIDDEN GEM. It's small and family run and everyone is super friendly. Not only that, they have side dishes that uses seasonal ingredients. Very well thought out and made with love.

I once had the pleasure of dining here while the owner was receiving produce deliveries and she looked at every box and did a thorough inspection and made complaints about some and complimented others. I appreciate this type of dedication. And it is evident in the food.

I come here when I crave my mom's Korean cooking. It's like eating her food. Please do try their ssambop jungshik. The variety of greens they bring out is phenomenal. She also sells her side dishes to go. So if you want to buy anything in larger sizes just call the restaurant and let her know in advance.

If you're craving knife noodles or soojaebi. This is a great place e to get it. It surpasses all the other soojaebi specialty restaurants.

Owner always thanks me for not leaving leftovers. And I always ask her how can I leave leftovers when the food is so delicious?

Sometimes she'll have this special tea instead of the typical barley tea. I've never had it before and it is quite delicious. I asked her what it was and she said its gobo tea. (It's a root vegetable that she'll also sometimes have on the menu served raw and seasoned with chili and vinegar.) she slices the gobo. Air dries it. terrible service!! the women here are so rude and gave my party such a bad experience. they wouldn’t give us gloves or crab shell crackers, and gave us 1 cracker no gloves when we asked. other tables were larger and came later than my party, but they received all their food before us, including gloves for everyone?? i would say thank you and they looked so mad. only one man was working and he was actually nice, but he was barely there. he was the only one who would reply with thank u and you’re welcome whenever we said it. despite everything, we still left some tip even tho the service was terrible. i work in a restaurant too and i understand how hard it can be, but there is no excuse to be so rude to people for no reason. after we left, a lady chased after us and asked if we did our math right LOOOL i did the math for her and she was baffled. she demanded more tip but then she started to leave when i told her the service was bad. what a joke. we shouldn’t have...

Wouldn’t really call it a hole in the wall restaurant, but it certainly has the atmosphere of tradition. Came for the raw marinated crabs and got the bibimbap along with it. Both were great and filling and came to a total of around $44. The service is a bit slow as there were only 2 employees in the front of house. You can seat yourself when you walk in and they’ll bring some menus to you and water after, if they aren’t busy with other customers. It is common to see the older korean generation here, really makes the place more authentic if the workers there wasn’t enough. They give plenty of side dishes, my favorite were the cucumbers which were crisp and not overly salted. My least favorite would be what I assume was perilla leaf, but that’s just personal taste.
