New York | Japanese and Chinese Cuisine 🍣

Let’s talk about the Japanese and Chinese food I tried on my recent trip to New York! 🌟 Hatsuhana This trendy Japanese restaurant is famous for its Instagram-worthy "Box of Dreams." 🍜I went without a reservation around 9 PM and was surprised to find a table available. The service was incredibly enthusiastic, almost a bit too much! To be honest, the food was a bit underwhelming, especially considering the high expectations I had. The freshness of the ingredients didn’t quite match what I’ve experienced in Toronto, and the rice at the bottom was a bit dry, like it had been sitting for a while. 🍣 🌟 Cafe China A Michelin one-star Chinese restaurant in New York. It felt amazing to indulge in some Chinese cuisine after a long time. 🍜I didn’t have a reservation, so I waited in line and got a table after about 30 minutes. The ambiance was lovely, with an old Shanghai vibe that I really enjoyed. The food was decent—nothing groundbreaking, but also nothing disappointing. I was pleasantly surprised to see "no tipping" on the menu. I loved the duck tongues, spicy chicken, and soup dumplings. 🍜I had heard great things about the twice-cooked pork online, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. Overall, I’d say I preferred Cafe China over Hatsuhana. 🍜 #NYCFoodGuide #MichelinRestaurant 🌟
