New York | Junoon, the Former Michelin One-star Indian Restaurant 🌟
I finally visited this Indian fine dining spot during the tail end of Restaurant Week – a place I’ve always wanted to try! It’s rare to find such high-end Indian cuisine, and Junoon has held its Michelin star for eight consecutive years! 🌆🌟 Tuna Puchka 🌶️The crispy shell is light and thin, with a tangy and slightly spicy flavor that’s super refreshing and appetizing. It’s a perfect start to the meal! 🍔 Ghost Chili Murgh Tikka The waiter said it’s a 6/10 on the spiciness scale, but my friend and I felt like it was just a sprinkle of black pepper. Hahaha, it’s not even as spicy as instant noodles! The chicken is smoked, giving it a rich, smoky flavor. It’s thick and juicy inside. 🍖 🌶️ Shrimp Moilee & Murgh Pyaza These two curries are based on coconut milk and turmeric, and tomato and onion, respectively. After eating, your mouth feels clean and refreshed. Both dishes have generous portions of meat. 🌶️ They also served rice (the long-grain, fragrant kind) and naan. Mixing and wrapping the food makes it so delicious, you’ll be in food heaven! 🍛 #NewYorkRestaurantWeek #IndianCuisine #FineDining 🌟
