📍Soju Haus: Though it’s called a bar, the coconut soju and Frozen Kirin are absolutely amazing, and even the food is delicious! The fried and grilled chicken gizzards are quite distinctive. The daily special pancake, which was a white fish pancake, was so fragrant it made me swoon. Overall, you can pretty much order anything and not go wrong. 🌊🎢 It’s located in an inconspicuous door on the side of a 5th Ave office building; you go in, take the elevator to the second floor, and they only accept Amex cards and cash. NUBIANI: Korean BBQ, located upstairs from Soju Haus. The meat quality is excellent. The grill master is handsome, friendly, and knows just when to add a bit of fun to the experience. 🌊🎢 The side dishes and banchan are very generous. As soon as everyone’s plates are empty, someone comes to refill them—it’s perfect. Reservations through Resy are recommended. MUI: Another bar, where the staff are very friendly, but the food is a bit of a letdown. I tried the very popular spicy pork feet, but it was really underwhelming—like something you’d buy at a Korean supermarket. 🌊🎢 The accompanying rice balls felt like they’d been sitting around for a while, dry and hard, and not very tasty. The spicy chicken feet were also a disappointment. The Clear Clam Soup had an unaddressed fishy smell, and some of the clams were still closed. #NewYork 🌟🌟
