The food here is super amazing. If I wasn’t so full from the 2 dishes we ordered, plus the coconut Soju and shots plus dessert, I would definitely want to keep trying more of their korean dishes. If you go to koreatown in NYC, there are a few ‘hidden places’ where you would need to just look up to find them. And this is one of them. If you’re just walking along 32nd st and 5th Ave, you won’t notice they’re here unless you look up and glance at the 2nd floor where they’re located. You enter this regular looking residential building and take the elevator the 2nd floor. The place looks pretty spacious and beautiful lighting all over. Soju bottles and other jars with ingredients for Soju adorn the walls. Very elegant looking place with big windows. The staff here is incredible. Very attentive and super friendly. They didn’t have a dessert that was on the menu ready for us because they had ran out, but they said it would take at least 10 min to order the ingredients and make it, if we were willing to wait. So we waited as they prepared the dessert. It really did take about 8-10 min. The dessert was pretty fantastic. And we even got it for free. No charge 😮 They even gave us free shots of Pomegranate Soju and Grapefruit Soju. The food and drinks here are outstanding. I highly recommend the Kimchi Fried Rice with Cheese and the Intestines dish. They even have side rice dishes that are free before 8pm. Best Korean dinning hands down. I’m in love with this place and want to bring all my...
Read morei wanted to try this place for along time, but i left disappointed.
it's hard to find this place because it's located on the second floor and no sign on the ground you can see. The space is big, the high table is way more comfortable than the low round tables. it gets loud because every is screaming when they got drunk.
The service was HORRIBLE. all the waiters seems like they hate their jobs. no smile and passive aggressive. didnt feel welcoming at all. we asked for some dips for some dishes because they are bland, they came over and tell us "NO , We dont do that". even we had questions about the menu and they were very impatient to answer. they never came to check on us and really hard to get their attention to order or get the bill, at the end the bill got charged wrong as well.
the food are a-ok! some unique dishes but everything is a big bland. the fried chicken gizzard has NO flavor at all, when we ask if there's anything for dipping they told us "NO we dont do that", seaffod pancake barely has any seafood inside and very bland as well. the roasted oxtail has nice flavor but super thin and overpriced. the only good dish is the pork trotter.
unlike the other korean restaurant, this place also didnt offer any banchan. there's a small bowl of salad with no flavor. Seriously not...
Read moreMy group and I were repeat customers as we really liked the food and ambiance here. On the last occasion, however, we (a group of 5) were given a round table with stools (no backrest), so we politely asked if we could be re-seated elsewhere, whereupon an obviously displeased waiter gave us a corner table at the back that could comfortably seat 4. We took it upon ourselves to move an adjacent small table toward our section to accommodate our group, but then the same surly waiter came back to say we couldn't have that table. In other words he wanted the five of us to squeeze ourselves into 4 seating spaces. We left the place before at least two of my companions could make a scene. It wasn't worth it, I told them. (On the way out, my wife told me that the same waiter told her we couldn't have the table for 6 with high chairs by the window either -- no RESERVED sign there whatsoever, and the entire floor more than half empty -- as that table has a $300-spend minimum, insinuating so indelicately that we couldn't afford that bill! Needless to say, my wife tried to calm herself down as we had a visiting guest with us.) Besides, there were many other pleasant places to enjoy in Koreatown, and enjoy...
