Fragrant, Plentiful, and Dense! My First Taste of Tibetan Cuisine in the East Village ๐ ๐ธIโve always dreamed of traveling to Tibet, and I never expected my first Tibetan food experience to be right here in New York. After working out near NYU, I walked into this charming restaurant in the East Village. ๐ ๐ฅ Momo (Tibetan Dumplings) Momo, also known as Tibetan dumplings, are quite something! The beef filling is incredibly dense and flavorful. ๐ธ Fresh out of the steamer, theyโre packed with savory juices, and the wrapper is chewy and substantial. They look similar to soup dumplings but arenโt as delicate or greasy. A plate of eight is quite filling! ๐ The yellow sauce has a delightful aroma of spices, and the owner even drew a little heart on it. The white sauce has a creamy, milky texture thatโs so comforting. ๐ฅ ๐ If you canโt decide, go for the combo plate, which includes beef, chicken, and chive options! ๐ #NewYork #NYC #TibetanCuisine ๐๐
