New York | Matcha Time! Tried the New Mochi Waffle 🧇

I thought they only did matcha, but they’ve really impressed me with their new products and flavors! 🥞🍡 Mochi Waffle (Original/Matcha) Watching them make it on-site is so cool and feels like a little ceremony.✨ The waffle looks a bit over-baked with its browned surface, but when you bite into it—wow! It’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. So addictive! The original flavor has seaweed, meat floss, and mayonnaise. I’m used to waffles with syrup and cream, but this savory version is really nice! The other one is the sweet matcha flavor. 🥭🍦 Maiko Special (Matcha/Mango/Ube/Peach) I’ve had the matcha and hojicha combo before, but this time I went for the mango flavor. I was a bit nervous it might not be great, but we all couldn’t help but cheer!🙌🏻 The sweetness is just right and the flavor is so natural! Their signature is definitely living up to its name—it’s super layered! There’s chestnut, matcha mochi balls, matcha chiffon, crispy cereal, red beans, and jelly. Every spoonful is a surprise, and one cup is enough for three people to share. 🍵🍓 Strawberry Matcha Latte The barista said they make the strawberry jam themselves. I took a sip, and it’s not like those super sweet fruit preserves. You can really taste the original fruit flavor! The sweetness of the strawberries and the fragrance of the matcha go together so well. I’m also curious about the ube flavor—I’ll definitely try that next time! 😻 📍 Matcha Cafe Maiko 132 Bowery, New York, NY 10013 #NewYorkLife 🌆 #NYCExploration 🕵️‍♂️
