New York | Michelin 🌟 Modern American Estela
I'd call Estela the most unexpectedly delightful restaurant! 🍖 📍 47 E Houston St 1st floor, NY 10012 💡 Michelin Star Story: The dishes here are renowned for their creativity. What you order from the menu and what arrives at your table can be completely different! I was bewildered 😳. Chef Ignacio Mattos' cooking style is heavily influenced by Mediterranean and European cuisine, which he has transformed into his own unique modern American style! 🍴 Must-Try Dishes: 1️⃣ Scallops with White Asparagus and Yuzu I thought this would be a simple scallop and asparagus dish, but what arrived was magical! The crispness of the white asparagus contrasts beautifully with the softness of the scallops – it's a fantastic texture combination! (Though the portion is small, haha 😆) 2️⃣ Beef Tartare with Crispy Sunchokes The tender beef tartare pairs perfectly with the crispy sunchokes – it's delicious! 3️⃣ Endive Salad with Walnuts, Anchovy, and Uberiaco Rosso (The name is super long, haha 😅) I only saw the endive – where's my anchovy fish? Turns out it's hidden inside the vegetables! The salad is refreshing and flavorful, with walnuts and anchovies adding a rich depth of taste. You have to try this! 🥬 #NewYork #NYCFood #ModernAmericanCuisine 🌆🌟
