New York | Ming Wong 🌆
When it comes to authentic, affordable, and friendly Cantonese roast meats, the gold standard is hard to beat! In Chinatown, there are three “X Wang” places, but I often go to Ming Wong. 🏙️The flavors are spot-on, with the char siu being particularly delicious—it takes me right back to the street corners of Guangdong. And guess what? The aunties and uncles here are super nice (which is rare in Cantonese restaurants)! 😊 We had a feast: char siu, beef brisket, roast duck, roast pork, poached chicken, scallion chicken, sampan porridge, stir-fried beef rice noodles) fresh shrimp rice noodle rolls, and garlic cauliflower. 🏙️ We had to combine three tables just to fit all the dishes! Five of us couldn’t finish it all, and with an average cost of $20 per person, we even had leftovers to take home! 🍔🍚 📍 Ming Wong #NYCExploration #NYCTravel 🌟
