New York | New Menu, New Delights! ๐
๐ขNoda has updated its menu, and the new dishes are just amazing! ๐ Since weโre nearing the end of the longfin squid season, we got to enjoy squid roe. The texture is sticky and the flavor is quite mild, which makes it super unique! Of course, the classic chawan-mushi (steamed egg custard) is still on the menu. Itโs as rich and smooth as ever, melting in your mouth. I absolutely love it! ๐ณ ๐ The sushi rice here is perfectly seasoned, with distinct grains and a higher acidity that really hits the spot for me. The cherry salmon trout was incredibly fatty and delicious. The hairy crab hand roll was also super fragrant. ๐ฃ ๐This time, we didnโt go for Shinjiโs Pairing. Instead, we opened a bottle of the 14th generation sake, which they said was the last one in the house. ๐ถ Appetizers: ๐ธ Fried Whitebait Chawan-mushi: Steamed Egg Custard/Hokkaido Uni/Osetra Caviar Sweet Shrimp Grilled Scallops ๐ฟ๐ Longfin Squid Grilled Japanese Sea Bass Wakame Seaweed Golden Eye Snapper White Shrimp ๐ข Cherry Salmon Trout Hairy Crab Hand Roll Firefly Squid Tuna Akami (Red Meat) Tuna Chu-Toro (Medium Fat) ๐ฟ๐ Tuna O-Toro (Fatty Tuna) Hokkaido Purple Urchin Kyushu Purple Urchin Eel Tuna Negitoro (Scallion Tuna Roll) Tamagoyaki (Omelette) Wasanbon (Light Yellow Brown Sugar) Ice Cream: Caramel/Walnut #NewYork #NYCRestaurants #NYCFoodie ๐๐
