New York | Omakase Experiences in the First Half of 2025 🌆🌟

The first half of the year is over, and I’ve rounded up the omakase meals I’ve enjoyed over these past few months. For some reason, I’ve been having random allergies this year, so every meal is a bit nerve-wracking, fearing an allergic reaction 😭. 📍 Yoshino This was hands down the best omakase I’ve had! I absolutely loved the uni (sea urchin) with mochi that had a delightful stringy texture. As a carb lover, it was pure bliss! 🍖🍚 📍 ICCA I remember this place was pretty easy to book—I managed to get a reservation just two days in advance. But unfortunately, the food wasn’t great. Both my friend and I were a bit disappointed 🥲. 📍 Nakaji This restaurant is super popular. My friend visiting New York managed to book a table a couple of weeks in advance, but it was a big letdown. The hype didn’t match the experience 😔. 📍 Noda The counter here is uniquely curved, which adds a special touch. The food was really good too! It’s my second favorite after Yoshino. 🥳 📍 Kanoyama This place offers great value for money. They seem to have omakase available four days a week, which is pretty impressive! 🌟 #NewYorkFoodie #StudyingInNewYork #OmakaseNYC #NewYorkMichelin 🍣🌟
