New York | Radio Bakery š
Radio Bakery in BK Greenpoint is a super famous internet celebrity shop. No matter if it's freezing cold or scorching hot, there's always a long queue. š”ļø They seem to have some special croissants each week, which you can check on their Instagram. But what you can actually get at the store is purely up to fate. Since the baking times vary and they can't control when things sell out, you just have to go with the flow. š š This weekend, I happened to see that the strawberry cheesecake croissant was back. As a strawberry lover, I couldn't resist its good looks. I got up early and heard they would start selling around 9:30. It wasn't far, so I went. And I wasn't disappointed! The "cheesecake" part initially made me hesitate, but after trying it, I found the cheese flavor was actually very subtle. The strawberries were super fresh and sweet. I really wanted to ask the store where they sourced them! It was delicious, but the time I spent waiting was a bit maddening. ā³ š„ I tried the plain croissant and the pistachio croissant. People who don't like things too sweet prefer the plain one. It has a crispy exterior and a great internal structure. That's already a thumbs-up. š But personally, I think it's not as good as La Cabra's, though it's still yummy. The pistachio croissant's outer layer of sugar powder kind of ruined it for me. It made the already sweet croissant even sweeter, giving it a really cloying taste. š„§ However, the pistachios on the outside were quite crunchy, and you could tell the ingredients were of good quality. If you have a sweet tooth, go for it! š¬ #NewYork š½
