New York | Salmon Soufflé! Love Japanese brunch 🥹

This Japanese brunch spot in NYC’s LIC is hands down my recent favorite! 🥰 I’ve basically been visiting weekly—I’m almost done with their entire menu! Last time I posted about their desserts & osmanthus latte—this time, let’s talk about their savory brunch dishes! 🌟 Japanese Breakfast Platter The Japanese sausage is so good—fragrant and juicy! The salad with sesame dressing hits just right, too. It feels like something I could replicate at home… if only I knew where to buy the Japanese sausage 😭 Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Smoked Salmon Soufflé Under the smoked salmon, there’s not bread—it’s a soufflé! Such a unique dish, though the portion is on the smaller side. Personally, I’m not a fan of the sweet-savory mix, but it’s worth a try if you’re curious! Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Tonkatsu Curry Rice Even setting the taste aside, the plate alone won me over—it’s so cute, like something out of a manga 🍛! The curry is classic Japanese style, and the tonkatsu has a super thin batter. It’s the kind of homey curry rice that feels warm and comforting—delicious! Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Mentaiko Pasta The mentaiko flavor is super rich—so good! Every strand of pasta is coated in that creamy mentaiko sauce. My partner even scraped the plate clean at the end 🤣 Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚🍚🥢 🌟 Cheese Chicken Cutlet Rice A bit too salty for my taste, and the chicken cutlet isn’t as tender as I hoped. But having a pile of melty cheese with rice is still pretty satisfying! Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Pan-Seared Salmon The salmon isn’t tender—honestly, I make better at home… But the rice underneath is surprisingly unique and tasty! Rice bowl count: 🍚🍚🥢 🌟 Mushroom Egg Toast As a meat lover, this wasn’t for me. The components are good on their own, but together they feel a bit bland.
