New York has so many speakeasies that each one has its own unique vibe. 🍸 🌟 Up & Up is the go-to spot near NYU. Maybe because it’s close to the school, the prices are always quite reasonable, with a drink costing less than $20. 💰 I love sitting at the bar and chatting with the bartenders about their craft. This time, I met a bartender who was pretty old-school. He told me he doesn’t like too many gimmicks and prefers to keep things traditional, which is just like Up & Up. They mostly offer small twists on classic cocktails. 🍸 I had three drinks this time: 🌅 Happy Trails: Simply put, it’s a fruitier version of a Whiskey Sour. It’s a must-try for girls! 🍓 Midori Sour: This one is also on the refreshing side. Honestly, it’s quite similar to a Whiskey Sour. 🍋 I don’t know the name, but after chatting for a while, I asked the bartender to mix me something different. He added a strong chili element. My friend made a face after taking a sip, but I actually really liked it! 🌶️ 🍻 There’s something really special about sitting at the bar. The more you chat with the bartender, the more they get to know your taste preferences. They can basically create a blind box just for you.
