New York | The Beautiful Café Carmellini 🌟
🥬Café Carmellini is located inside the Fifth Avenue Hotel, designed by the renowned McKim, Mead, and White. When you walk into Café Carmellini, you can't help but marvel at how such a beautiful restaurant exists in the bustling city of New York. The only thing I didn't like was that the leaves in the restaurant were all fake; if they were real, it would be perfect. 🌿 🥬That night, three of us ordered four cocktails, two bottles of red wine, and I lost count of how many after-dinner liqueurs we had. I tasted the best and most beautiful Calvados Manhattan here, and I loved the shape and pattern of their ice cubes—they were super sophisticated. 🥃 Japanese Sardin Toaste: Sardine on crispy bread, perfect for a quick bite. 🍖 Artichoke Provencal: I love artichokes as long as I don't have to peel them myself. 🥬 Duck Duck Duck Tortellini: Duck + duck + duck in tortellini. 🦆 🥬Meyer Lemon Millie-Feuille: The crab meat mille-feuille was my favorite dish of the night. The crab was flavorful, paired with thin, crispy leaves, making it perfect for spring. 🍓 Halibut: The main course halibut was decent. 🐟 Rabbit Cacciatoe: The rabbit was quite ordinary. 🐰 Squab En Croute: Pigeon with foie gras, reminiscent of Wellington. It's a famous dish but didn't leave a strong impression. 🐦 🥬 None of the dishes were bad, but none were exceptionally amazing either. I still preferred their cocktails. #NewYork
