New York | The Brant Foundation Andy Warhol (1)π
ποΈWhile wandering around the East Village, I visited The Brant Foundation, which currently has the exhibition "Andy Warhol: Thirty are better than one." We took the elevator to the fourth floor and then explored each level from top to bottom. πThis is a private museum, and each floor isn't very large, so it only took a little over an hour to see everything. ποΈ ποΈThe fourth floor features Andy Warhol's later works, including his self-portraits and several different versions of The Last Supper. Considering his LGBTQ+ identity and his Christian upbringing, you can sense the tension and struggle between religion and personal identity in these pieces. π There's a pool on the ceiling of this floor, and it looks absolutely stunning with the shimmering light in the sunlight! π #NewYork π
