New York | Unboxing a Sweet French Bakery Mystery š
Recently, the newly opened Angelina near my home has started offering TGTG mystery boxes, which are quite hard to get. However, today I got lucky! š I saw a cancellation just an hour before the pick-up time and quickly placed my order. The staff at this bakery were a bit confused about TGTG, so they let me choose my own items. I could pick two large items and three small ones. I had seen reviews recommending the pistachio donut and fruit tart, but since the items in the display case couldn't be chosen, I ended up with a pistachio donut, a ham bread, and three mini donuts. It was definitely worth the $5.99 price tag! š Pistachio Donut Apart from the powdered sugar on top, which I'm not a huge fan of, it's practically flawless! The joy of the sugar and oil mixture, combined with the rich and nutty pistachio paste, makes it a must-repurchase item. š© ā Other Items The other items were all pretty good. Maybe because of the small portions, I didn't feel too guilty or overly full. They were just the right size to enjoy without feeling too indulgent. š Overall, I highly recommend giving the mystery box a try, especially when you can choose your own items.
