New York | Winter is Perfect for Omakase! 🍣
Winter in New York is the perfect time for omakase! The rich, fatty slices of sashimi make you feel like you’ve gained a layer of warmth after the meal. It’s such a cozy and indulgent experience! 😊 Today, we dined at a place on 8th Street in Lower Manhattan. At $75 per person, we enjoyed a 13-course meal plus dessert, with the option to order additional dishes. 🌟 Here are a few courses that left a lasting impression: ▪️ King Salmon – This salmon was incredibly soft and smooth, almost melt-in-your-mouth. It must have been specially treated because there was no chewy texture at all. So delicious! 🍣 ▪️ Mackerel – The fish was topped with a layer of kelp, giving it a savory, umami-rich flavor. Mackerel can be a bit strong, but this place managed to bring out its unique taste without being overpowering. Nicely done! 🐟 ▪️ Uni – No need to say more about how good this was! The sea urchin in the wooden box was incredibly fresh and sweet, with a cool, refreshing texture that cut through the richness of the meal. I even ordered an extra portion of uni – I could have eaten the whole box! 😈 #NewYork #WinterOmakase 🌇🌟
