New York • Popular Thai and Southeast Asian Restaurants Lately (1)🌟
Laut - A long-time favorite, serving Malaysian, Singaporean, and Thai cuisine. (Fun fact: it was a Michelin one-star restaurant from 2011 to 2012.) The flavors are truly amazing. Beef rendang is their signature dish, and the rice noodles and flying pancakes are also super delicious!! You can get a full meal for around $50!! 🍖 Bangkok Supper Club - A new high-end Thai restaurant from the team behind Fish Cheeks. The flavors are decent, but the pricing is really outrageous. It's easy to spend over $150 per person and still not feel full. The menu is quite short; a group of 5 or 6 could easily try everything. The signature dish, Pork Jowl, was way too salty and a major letdown. The drinks were not great, but the desserts were fantastic. 🍽️ Pranakhon - A Thai restaurant that became super popular after Lisa visited. The Short Rib Mussaman is a must-order, and the bowl of crab fried rice is so good you won't want to stop eating. The appetizers recommended by the server were also delicious. The average cost is around $80. The only downside is that the host had a really bad attitude. 😔 #NewYork #ThaiFood #SoutheastAsianCuisine 🌆🌟
