New York • The Bar Room 🌆
🐠 Monkfish Roasted on the Bone, Summer Squash & Grapefruit Vierge This monkfish was completely different from my expected “chewy Japanese hot pot texture.” The preparation was very American, closer to the texture of cod—delicate, distinct, and with a hint of fat. It wasn’t a “wow” surprise, but it was definitely delicious. 🍗 The summer squash and grapefruit added a refreshing touch, balancing the dish perfectly. 🍋 🍷 Beverage Experience Although their wine list is actually quite impressive, I didn’t feel like drinking alcohol at noon, so I ordered a non-alcoholic drink. I was very satisfied! The flavor was complete and layered, matching the experience of a low-alcohol cocktail. 🥤 🪑 Space & Service The kitchen is semi-open, and you can see the entire operation from the entrance—it looks very professional. 🏠 The overall service level is high, with a natural tone and a comfortable pace. The only minor drawback is that when it’s busy, the dishes do come out slower, and the lunch pace can be a bit longer. I’d suggest not coming here if you’re in a rush. ⏳ #NewYork 🌟
