New York 🗽 | In New York, But My Heart Is Already in South America

Pio Pio 8 This Peruvian restaurant in Midtown has a very modest entrance, but once you step inside, you'll discover a hidden gem. The decor is unique, and the space is surprisingly large with plenty of big tables—perfect for large parties! I visited during mealtime and didn't have to wait in line. 🎉 **Cevice Mixto** 💰$28 A mix of marinated fish, shrimp, octopus, squid, and some cilantro garnishes. The ingredients are quite fresh, but the marinade was way too sour for my taste—almost unpalatable. 🍥 **Anticuchos** 💰$18 Grilled beef hearts. The hearts are tender and surprisingly large! The accompanying potatoes are also delicious. Highly recommended! 🍖 **1/4 Juanita's Chicken** 💰$7 A quarter of a roasted chicken. The meat is tender and flavorful. This portion size is perfect for those who want to try a bit of everything! 🍗 **Tallarin La Costa** 💰$30 Green seafood pasta with large shrimp and scallops. The seasoning is spot-on and right up my alley. Highly recommended! 🍝 **Sangria Pitcher** 💰$48 A fruit wine pitcher available in red or white. The red sangria feels more authentic. It has a light alcohol taste and is mostly fruity and fragrant—delicious! 🍃 #NewYork #NYCFoodGuide #NYCDaily #NYCWeekend #NYCEats #NYCExploration #NYCWhatToEat #Manhattan #ManhattanFood #NYCManhattanFood #NYCExploration #ManhattanExploration #NYCFood #NYCRestaurant #NYCMidtownFood #NYCMidtown #TimesSquare #TimesSquareFood #NYCPeruvianCuisine #NYCPeruvianRestaurant #PeruvianFood #NYCSouthAmericanCuisine
