New York Culinary Restaurant π Soogil
French-Korean cuisine is not that common, and Soogil is located on an inconspicuous street in the East Village. π The restaurant itself is small but quiet, cozy, and romantic. They offer both 4-course and 6-course options. πΊ Online reviews are mixed, but I think itβs pretty great after visiting. π€ Beef Tartar & Song-i + Foie Gras mousse These two bites are really appetizing. The beef tartar with pear is refreshing, and the foie gras mousse is super smooth. π π€ Doenjang + Scallop Soup The potato is delicious and the scallop is tender. The soup base is soybean, but to be honest, I didnβt really taste much of the Korean influence. It leans more French. π² π€ Uni Bowl The uni itself is not particularly outstanding, but the combination is good, and the overall dish is fine. π¦ π€ Beef Wellington I mean, very few restaurants actually make this dish. Itβs really a test of skill. The steak has to be tender and not overcooked, while the pastry outside needs to be milky, crispy, and flaky. π Fortunately, their version is very qualified. I highly recommend it. π€ Mango Sorbet Itβs really good, much better than I expected. It comes with meringue, so itβs not just sour. The balance of sweet and sour is excellent. π The 4-course meal is $98, and the 6-course meal is $130. I think the price-to-quality ratio is pretty good. Itβs also a great place for quiet conversations. π π 108 E 4th St, New York, NY 10003 #RecorderofRomanticLife#NoteInspiration πΏ
