New York Delights: Hidden Gem of Japanese Cuisine in Soho ๐
๐ DomoDomo โ A delightful Japanese restaurant in Soho that exceeded our expectations! ๐ฅฐ ๐ 140 W Houston St, New York, NY 10012 We heard that DomoDomo originally opened in New Jersey before making its way to Manhattan. Itโs a place my friends and I unanimously agreed weโd definitely visit again! The ambiance is fantastic, with dim lighting in the evenings that creates a cozy and intimate atmosphere. ๐ We also enjoyed three cocktails, which perfectly complemented our meal. The average cost per person was around $56. ๐ฏ ๐ถ Sushi & Handroll Course ($49) First Course: Salmon Tataki ๐๐๐ The marinated salmon sashimi paired with avocado puree was a unique and delightful combination. The flavors were so special! ๐ฃ Second Course: Chefโs Choice Premium Sushi โ 9 pieces ๐๐๐โจ Nine pieces of seasonal sushi made with the freshest fish. Each piece was incredibly fresh, and I loved the element of surprise with each bite. The highlight was the fatty bluefin tunaโabsolutely divine! ๐ฃ Third Course: Choice of 2 Hand Rolls ๐๐๐๐โจ This course was the standout that made us plan our next visit. We ordered the salmon and cod hand rolls, which were incredibly delicious! We wanted to add more, like crab ๐ฆ and additional salmon, but it was past the last call. Next time, weโll try every flavor! The nori was crispy, the sauce was generous, and the hand rolls were huge and super satisfying. ๐ #NYCJapantea #SohoDining #MustVisitAgain ๐
