New York Delights | Wai Po Ren Jia 🍖

🥘 Chicken and Mushroom Stew: 🌸This dish is packed with vermicelli noodles, tender chicken, soft potatoes (the kind that melt in your mouth), and fragrant tea tree mushrooms. It’s slow-cooked to perfection, with every bite bursting with flavor. When it arrives at your table, it’s steaming hot♨️. 🌊 I can’t even imagine how comforting it would be on a cold winter day—each spoonful is filled with homely goodness. The seating is limited, but there’s no waitlist. It’s always bustling with people, so it’s almost always full. 🎢 Since there were only two of us, we skipped the big dishes like pulled sugar platter, sweet and sour fish, and clay pot goose. 🍃 We did see donkey meat (curious!) and snail meat, which was priced according to the market. This place felt pretty solid. 🌸Whether it’s authentic or not depends on personal taste, but it definitely hit the spot for us. The portions are generous and worth the price—literally “take home what you can’t finish.” The dishes here are more authentic than the name of the restaurant suggests. If I go again, I’ll definitely ask the owner why it’s called this.🤣 📍 Wai Po Ren Jia #NYCExploration #NYCDining 🌃🌟
