New York Diary | Hunan Slurp 🌶️
I’ve been craving this place for so long, but every time I tried to visit, something came up and I couldn’t make it. Finally, I got to try it, and it was totally worth the wait! 🌟 🔸 Classic Braised Rice Noodles These are just amazing! Just thinking about them makes my mouth water. They come with a variety of toppings like shredded cucumber, cilantro, crushed peanuts, pickled cabbage, minced garlic, and diced chili. Every bite is so flavorful! The rice noodles are perfect for slurping—trust me, you have to try them to understand! 🍜 🔸 First-Rate Tofu This dish has minced pork. It looks simple, but it has a savory flavor that goes really well with rice. 🍲 🔸 Lotus-Scented Glutinous Rice Meatballs I really loved these! I thought they’d be ordinary glutinous rice meatballs, but they have a yolk inside, which adds a richer texture. 🍢 When we dined in, we had to wait a long time for our food, but the staff was really friendly and even gave us a pot of lychee oolong tea, which was delicious. 🍃 📍 112 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10009 Last time I called to make a reservation, they said it’s fine to just walk in. If you love Hunan cuisine, you’ve got to try this place! 🌟 #Manhattan 🌆🌟
