🍰 New York East Village | Puff Pastry Sweets + Cat Bookstore 🐱

🌊🎢Last week, I visited a super cute cream puff shop in the East Village. The entire store is decorated in bright yellow, with bookshelves lined with comic books. There are four tables inside and three seats by the window. On weekdays, you probably won’t need to wait in line. 🍔 The shop offers a variety of coffees and baked goods. The cream puffs come in many flavors like lychee, strawberry, mango, matcha, chocolate, taro coconut, tiramisu, and more. 🌊🎢 We ordered two cream puffs—rose lychee and strawberry—along with an egg tart and two iced teas: Yuzu Matcha and Rose Tea. 🍃 The cream on top of the puffs is quite dense, while the filling is a light, airy mixture of whipped cream and fruit jam. The yuzu matcha flavor is okay, but the matcha presence is subtle. The yuzu taste is a bit like concentrated honey, a bit sweet. 🌊🎢 The rose tea with the egg tart is absolutely delicious! The egg tart has a Portuguese-style flaky crust, with a soft and slightly sweet filling that pairs perfectly with the refreshing rose tea. So delightful! 😍 After our treat, we strolled over to a bookstore that has a resident cat named Pillow. The owner is super friendly and you can interact with the cat freely. 🌊🎢The store sells books related to small animals—animal illustrations and pet care guides.
