New York Eel Rice Dish--Yakitori Sun-Chan
1️⃣ Eel Three Ways 🍱 This is listed on the menu as Unagi Hitsumabushi for two; Una don is just regular eel rice, so don't order the wrong one! The eel rice is made to order, so it takes a while, but it's definitely worth the wait. First way: Mix and eat directly from the rice pot. Second way : Add some scallions and wasabi, then mix and eat. Third way: Pour in the fish broth to make eel rice porridge. This is my favorite way! The clear fish broth nicely balances the sweetness of the eel sauce. Fourth way: (My invention 🌚) Add some of the togarashi seasoning on the table and mix it in for a spicy kick. 2️⃣ Fried Chicken Wings 🍗 The breading is super thin, and the skin is incredibly crispy! The seasoning is on the sweeter side, and the juices inside are well-sealed. Five large pieces for only 8 dollars, the value for money is amazing. 3️⃣ Chestnut Cake with Black Sesame Ice Cream 🍨 This is on the special menu, so you might miss out if you go late. The chestnut cake has a bit of a Mont Blanc feel, with an overall low sweetness that can be enjoyed with red bean paste. The chestnut cream on top is very smooth, but the overall texture is average. 💛Yakitori Sun-Chan 📍2707 Broadway, New York, NY 10025 #Yakitori Sun-Chan#New York # food diary
