New York Food Exploration 🌟 | Pye Boat Noodle
A hidden Thai gem in Astoria. "Pye" means paddle, and their signature dish is boat noodle, a soup noodle dish originally sold from boats. This gives a glimpse into the bustling water markets of the "Venice of the East" back in the day. 🛶 Boat Noodle with Pork The dark broth has a unique flavor, said to include pig's blood, which might take some getting used to. But the toppings are generous—fried pork rinds, slices of pork, and pork meatballs. I chose wide noodles, though the traditional boat noodle uses thin rice noodles. 🍜 Duck Curry 🌟 Mildly spicy and sweet, with a rich coconut milk aroma. The duck meat is tender, and seeing grapes in the curry was quite a surprise—very unique! 🍇 Pad Thai My friend ordered this, and it looked pretty good too! 🍳 #NewYorkFoodie #NYCThailand #BoatNoodle 🌺
