Tom Yum Shrimp Congee: This is my second favorite dish. The tangy Tom Yum soup is super refreshing and appetizing. 🍃 The shrimp aren’t abundant, but they are super crunchy and delicious. Paired with the slightly runny rice, it’s a perfect comfort food that gets more satisfying with every bite. Highly recommended! 🍲 Chef’s Recommended Breakfast with Fried Egg: This one was quite a novelty for me. It features Thai sausage, dried sausage, and a meat patty with eggs. The flavors are nice but somewhat similar to the Chinese-style steamed meat patty with eggs. I felt it was more suitable as a side dish for rice. 🌸 It came with three small slices of soft bread that weren’t toasted. I was expecting something more like crispy French bread, so that was a slight letdown. 🥪 Ratatouille Goat Cheese Taro Cake: This was another interesting combination that I ordered out of curiosity. Personally, I felt the taro cake and ratatouille didn’t go together very well. 🎢 The vegetables were on the tangy side, and the strong flavor of goat cheese made the whole dish feel a bit unbalanced. Compared to the taro cakes from Guangdong or Fujian, this one falls short. 🍠 #NewYork 🌉🌟
