This is one of those neighborhood spots that you root for, not just because the food is great (and it’s fantastic) but because the people are great. The vibes here are incredible. But you probably want to know about the food. Everything is fantastic. There hasn’t been a thing I’ve tried that I haven’t loved. I’m sure there are lots of reviews saying tons about how great the food is, so I’ll stick to some quick recommendations from a guy who comes here all the time and keeps coming back for more. Savory crepe: I’m partial to the bacon and avocado with Thai pesto. It’s my go to breakfast crepe although now that I think about it my ultimate favorite might be the goat cheese and sautéed onion crepe. But I also love the ratatouille and goat cheese crepe with the smoke salmon added. Sweet crepe: Gotta go with the mango sticky rice crepe. It’s delicious. I’m admittedly not a sweet crepe guy but I’ve heard great things about the Nutella banana crepe and I loved the kettle corn and mozzarella cheese crepe as well. Weather’s getting colder: Get the tom kha bisque. It’s amazing. Spicy and full of flavor. It’s incredible. Item that needs more talking about: The goat cheese salad is legit the best salad I have ever had. Get it. Drinks: Everything is good. My two favorites are the blue jasmine latte and the dirty chair latte. If you don’t want coffee, I love the purple lemonade as well. Come down and eat here or just get a drink. Enjoy the vibes and the people, and if you have a dog, this place is very dog friendly so bring them by too.

The cutest Thai brunch place opened up down the street from me and I think people should come from all over to try it. Every time I walk by there are people eating and drinking and enjoying themselves. This place was started by a Thai folks who used to work in French cafes and they are bringing their own take on French style brunch. Since Thailand was never colonized, this sort of fusion is totally novel and absolutely delicious. For lunch, I love getting their chicken satay salad. It’s delicious, healthy and filling! If you’re looking for more comfort in Thai flavors and textures then I’d say get the Massaman curry crepe and the Tom Yum porridge. Opt for the Tom Kha bisque if you’re wanting a richer portion of soup. I think all three of these show masterful blending of French and Thai flavors. For brunch, the oefs Manee is healthy but also tasty and you won’t want to share it. Get some veggies, eggs and taro bread first thing on a weekend. Although I would’ve liked more taro bread. Pair that with the best matcha latte in the neighborhood and you’ve got a winning combo. The crème brûlée French toast hits all the textures for a sweet breakfast and is best paired with an espresso.

Maison de Manee is THE total gem in Astoria! Right near the R stop at Steinway… I love their Thai custard on a very flaky croissant. Their tom kha bisque is out of this world—creamy, tangy, and full of Thai flavor—but. not too spicy.. It’s like Thai comfort food dressed up in a French café outfit. And the iced lattes? So smooth and creamy, it’s basically dessert in a glass (without the sugar overload). Cozy upscale vibe, super friendly staff, and a menu that surprises in the best way. The staff always stop to say hi and feed treats to the local dogs :) Go—you’ll love it!

✨ A Hidden Gem in Astoria – Maison de Manee is a Must-Try!

I had the pleasure of visiting Maison de Manee on their opening day, and I was thoroughly impressed! The butter shrimp rice I ordered was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the place is charming and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall delightful experience. I’m excited to have this new addition to the neighborhood and can’t wait to return to try more of their offerings. Highly recommend...
