New York Foodie Finds | 🍮 French Desserts Near the MET
After a day at the MET, you can easily pop into the nearby Patisserie Vanessa for some sweet treats! 🍪 This place is just right for me—the sweetness level is perfect, and the macarons and other desserts are both visually stunning and tasty (though, of course, they can't quite compare to Parisian bakeries). 🍔 🍫 La Charlotte Dark Chocolate is my absolute favorite! The chocolate sauce is super rich, and the vanilla cake on the outside is soft and bouncy. Biting into it feels like you're eating a cloud! 🌤️ 🍮 Le Canelé is supposedly one of their signature items. The caramelized crust is super thick, and the inside is soft custard filling. The texture is quite rich, but it's a bit too sweet for my taste. 🍔 🍡 I tried three macaron flavors: chocolate, pistachio, and raspberry. The chocolate was the best—so rich and aromatic! The raspberry was nice and tangy-sweet, but a bit overwhelming by the end. I wouldn't recommend the pistachio; the jam had a strong artificial flavor. 🍪 #ChroniclerOfRomanticLiving #NewYork 🌟
