New York has mastered the British afternoon tea
New York’s weather has finally turned warm and lovely—sunshine filtering through the trees, soft breezes, and little flowers popping up everywhere 🌸 So I immediately texted my sister: “Let’s go for afternoon tea!” We headed to this Ktown spot we’d been eyeing, and wow—it’s even prettier in person! The decor’s so charming: dainty floral arrangements, warm fairy lights, and pastels everywhere. Perfect for snapping photos, and the cozy vibe just screams “spring” 😍 We went straight for their classic English three-tiered afternoon tea set, and it was a feast for the eyes! The top tier had tiny, colorful macarons—pastel pink, lavender, and baby blue—crunchy on the outside, chewy inside, and not too sweet (thank goodness!). The middle tier was all buttery goodness: warm scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam (we split one and immediately wanted a second!), flaky croissants that melted in our mouths, and mini fruit tarts with fresh berries that burst with juice when you bit into them 🍓 Their tea menu is massive—so many options! We picked passion fruit tea, which came in a cute glass teapot with fresh passion fruit slices floating inside. It’s light, fruity, and subtly sweet—we sipped it slowly while munching. Pro tip: ask for half sugar or no sugar! It’s way more refreshing that way, especially with all the pastries 🍵 But we couldn’t resist adding cakes too! 🥤 The brown sugar boba mille crepe was amazing—each crepe layer is thin and soft, the cream is light, and the boba at the bottom is plump and chewy, with that warm brown sugar flavor. Plus, the cream has a hint of salty milk cap taste, which balances it perfectly. 🍵 The matcha mille crepe was just as good—bright green, smooth, and with that classic matcha bitterness (no powdery aftertaste!), so refreshing. We split both and argued over which was better 😆 We sat there for ages, chatting, taking silly photos, and nibbling on treats—no rush, just the nice spring air and the sweet smell of pastries. It was the perfect way to soak up the season. 📍 Prince Tea House #NewYorkFood #NewYorkLife #NewYork #Manhattan #NewYorkKtown #NewYorkStudyAbroad #NewYorkDesserts #NewYorkCakes
