New York Michelin-Starred Indian Cuisine: Junoon Restaurant Week šŸ˜‹

I finally visited the Indian restaurant Junoon that I’ve been wanting to try, and it happened to be during New York’s 25th Winter Restaurant Week! The three-course meal was priced at 60/pp, but I recommend going for lunch because it’s the same menu but priced at 45/pp. Appetizers: šŸ“ Tuna Puchka is a famous Indian snack, but it was all cilantro flavor to me, which I loved as a cilantro enthusiast, but my date wasn’t a fan. šŸ“ Ghost Chili Murgh Tikka was a spicy chicken dish that was tender and had a kick to it. Main Course: šŸ“ Shrimp Moilee was a coconut curry shrimp 🦐 that was sweet and delicious, perfect with rice! The shrimp was tender too. šŸ“ Murgh Pasanda, to be honest, I preferred the spicy chicken from the appetizer. This curry was good but nothing special, and the chicken chunks were a bit dry. The complimentary rice and naan come with the main course. The rice was a small portion, but the naan was deliciousļ½ž Dessert: šŸ“ Kulfi selection was four adorably shaped ice creams, the saffron flavor was quite unique, hard to describe but good. šŸ“ The rice pudding had a nice flavor, with a strong taste of banana and cinnamon. It was good with the ice cream, but I’m not used to eating it on its own. In summary, the food was all delicious! But personally, even during restaurant week, I found the prices a bit steep for Indian cuisine… the portions were on the smaller side, leaving you not as full. If it’s restaurant week, it’s worth trying for lunch, but the dinner might not be the best value. PSA šŸ”ŠšŸ”Š I’ve been trying to get a reservation at Bungalow but haven’t been successful. I hope to try the supposed ceiling of Indian cuisine in New York someday! Anybody have recommendations for other great Indian spots they’ve tried? #NewYorkIndianCuisine #NewYorkRestaurantWeek
