New York Paloma Coffee Bakery 🌟
Paloma, originally known for its coffee, has expanded its carb empire this year. Last week, I visited their branch on Nassau Ave. 🌟 This place has been on our list for over half a year, and we’ve missed it so many times—either arriving too late or finding it closed on the day. This time, we finally made it right when they opened: 1️⃣ Mortadella Pistachio Croissant - $6.5 The Italian mortadella and pistachio croissant has a shiny, crispy crust, savory meat, and pistachio bits that really elevate the filling. 2️⃣ Pecan Bourbon Pain Suisse - $7 The pecan bourbon Swiss roll is stunning on the side, with layers of thin, flaky pastry that are substantial yet not heavy. The walnut filling is sweet but comforting. 3️⃣ Fig Danish - $6.25 The light color in the picture shows it’s not fully baked, but the texture is still great. The fig jam filling is just the right amount of sweet and abundant in every bite. 4️⃣ Wagyu Gruyere Croissant - $8 Featuring wagyu beef and Gruyere cheese, the cross-section is beautiful with air pockets, and the texture is soft and flaky. The accompanying pickles help cut through the richness, though the saltiness is a bit high. 🔎 Paloma Coffee Bakery 📍 Greenpoint & Williamsburg 📝 My first impression was that the prices were a bit high, but seeing the layers of carbs in front of the counter, like works of art, and tasting them, I was instantly won over. The flakiness is textbook-level amazing, and I can’t wait to visit again. 🌟There aren’t many flavors, but next time I want to try the Shakshuka Croissant and Concord Grape Croissant. #AutumnEating #NewYorkDelights 🌃🌟
