Average: $18 48 Carmine St, New York, NY 10014 In this slightly chilly early autumn, a bowl of steaming ramen is just perfect for me who didn't wear enough. 🌿 🍔 I ordered the mildly spicy (rekka) classic ramen, added some wood ear mushrooms and a soft-boiled egg, and kept everything else standard. 🗽The taste is quite similar to Ichiran, but compared to Ichiran's soup base, it's a bit thinner (lacking some of the richness of bone broth) and a tiny bit saltier (but still very edible). The chashu pork is delicious and flavorful, but for me, it could be a bit softer (it's perfect for those who like a bit of chewiness). 🍜 But what really stands out is that for a West Village ramen, the price is super friendly.
