New York Restaurant Exploration | Who Hasn't Been to Farra Yet? š·
Farra is the sister restaurant of the Michelin-starred Atera, located right next door. The overall atmosphere and style are very similar. šøAs a wine bar, it boasts an extensive wine collectionāif you can think of it, they probably have it. And hereās the kicker: they donāt serve any cocktails at all. Talk about being exclusive! š„ šBut let me tell you, their food menu is just as impressive, if not better. The menu is quite concise, so if youāre dining in a group, you can pretty much order everything and share. The standout dish has to be the foie gras mousseāitās not gamey at all, super smooth, and topped with a slightly sweet jelly and other sauces. Paired with brioche, itās pure bliss! š š Among the appetizers, the burrata, bread basket, and tuna are all really good. The only miss was the salmon tartare, which was a bit too salty. š For the mains, the shrimp ravioli and chicken schnitzel are both delicious and full of flavor. On the other hand, the much-talked-about scallop rice was a bit underwhelming for me. š¢It was a bit salty, and the rice had a crispy, burnt texture that I didnāt quite enjoy. But hey, tastes vary, so if youāre curious, give it a try. The desserts are pretty standard but worth ordering. š° āØItās not cheap, but considering its Atera connection and the genuinely tasty menu, itās understandable. In my opinion, itās definitely worth a visit! š° #RecorderOfRomanticLife #NotebookInspiration šāØ
