New York Restaurant Review | JoJo by Jean-Georges π
Visited JoJo on a Monday for what turned out to be my first somewhat formal dinner since moving to New York. π’π Reservations were easy to make on a weekday. The restaurant is super cute, with a very cozy vibe, and it was pretty bustling. πΊ ππΊ For the appetizer, I ordered the Tuna tartare, which was delicious! It had no fishy taste and a very refreshing texture. Even my teammate, who usually despises seafood and refuses to eat raw fish, took a bite and didn't hate itβwhich is quite a high praise, haha. π’π The fries, which came as a side, were amazing! Super fresh and crispy, they were the epitome of well-behaved fries. π For the main course, I went with the fish. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of fish skin, but this one was spot-onβclean, crispy, and flavorful. ππΊ The mushrooms on the side were the real star! They reminded me of the fried mushrooms I used to enjoy from the street vendors near my school back home. Such a happy memory! π My teammate's steak was decent, but the accompanying sauce was out of this world. It was like mayonnaise but with a twist that I can't quite put my finger on, yet it was so addictive! π Overall, I really enjoyed the meal. It's a great spot for a date night. π ππΊ #RestaurantReview #NewYork #NYCDining π
