New York State Hidden Gem Winery 🥂Hillick & Hobbs Estate

🌿On a weekend outing with friends, we chose the "New York Roots & A Global Story" wine tasting package, priced at $22 per person and including five 1.5-ounce pours of wine. It was quite a good deal! 🌟 Three of the pours were Rieslings from the estate: Tasting three vintages of dry Riesling side by side really highlights the differences. I found the acidity in all of them to be crisp and refreshing, perfect for summer or early autumn. 🍇 🌿 Two red wines: One Pinot Noir from California and one Mencía from Spain. These were more for variety and might appeal to those who find the first three options too tart. 🍷 ⚠️Skip the Petite Pairing snack platter. We all thought it was pretty bland and didn't complement the wines well. Not worth it. 🥪 The scenery here is absolutely stunning. The outdoor lawn faces Seneca Lake directly, with an unobstructed view. On a nice day, sitting outside in the breeze, sipping wine, chatting with friends, or just daydreaming while gazing at the lake is incredibly relaxing.
