New York Stock Exchange
The World's Most Mysterious Agreement, You Might Not Even Know About It! π’π Standing at the entrance of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), I was filled with a sense of awe as I looked at this magnificent building. Located on Wall Street in Manhattan, New York, it is a symbol of the American financial industry and one of the largest stock exchanges in the world. This historic building, since its establishment in 1792, has witnessed countless market fluctuations and economic waves. ππ π’π I also had the opportunity to visit the exchange's historical exhibition hall, where the development process and significant events of the exchange are displayed. I saw the "Buttonwood Agreement" of 1792, the document that marked the establishment of the exchange. π’π The agreement established two important principles: First, stockbrokers could only trade with other brokers; second, the commission on stock transactions could not be less than 0.25%. Everyone knows the New York Stock Exchange, but do you know the Buttonwood Agreement? π’π #ButtonwoodAgreement #Agreement #Mysterious #NYSE π
