New York Weekend Hiking📍Cold Spring(2)
🚶 Route: The more famous trails are Bull Hill Full and Short. Both are very beginner-friendly. The Full route takes about 4 hours, while the Short route takes around 3 hours (subtract 1 hour if you're a pure hiker without photo stops). We did the Short route and were a bit tired by the time we descended... The total length is about 7 km with an elevation gain of 350 meters. 🌸🍃 It may seem minimal, but most of the trail is off-path, with climbing up and down on rocks. It can be a bit shaky, so definitely wear hiking shoes, or you might easily twist your ankle. Also, bring mosquito repellent. The Chicken Mushroom at P8 is very beautiful. 🌸🍃 The foreigners picking them there told us to take some home; they have a great texture and are a favorite among vegans as a chicken substitute. Coming down from the summit should align with the mountain sunset. 🌸🍃You can take the town's tunnel to the riverside to catch a glimpse and wait for your ride. #NewYork #NewYorkLife #ColdSpring 🌟
