Newport, Rhode Island: A One-Day Self-Driving Trip
Checking in at Newport, Rhode Island ✨! Transportation We parked our car at the Parking Garage. After parking, we hopped on the free No. 67 sightseeing bus directly to Cliff Walk—it’s so convenient 🚌! Remember to ask the driver for a receipt; with it, parking for the whole day only costs $5 🔪. Isn’t that a great deal~? Food Recommendation For lunch, we ate at The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar by the harbor. The sea view plus fresh seafood makes it a total winner 🍤! I highly recommend getting a table right by the harbor—you won’t regret it. It was our first time there, and we loved it! Everyone is welcome to share more food recommendations in the comments. I’ll add them to my list for next time—can’t wait to try them 😋! Cliff Walk Hiking Route After lunch, we took the No. 67 bus to the starting point at the South End. There’s a beach here where you can soak up the sun ☀️ or play in the water 🌊. Then we walked along Cliff Walk—the scenery is absolutely amazing 🏞️! The entire trail is 3.5 miles long, but since we had kids with us, we only walked half of it. We’re already planning a second trip to finish the rest 🥳! This trail perfectly combines the sea, cliffs, mansions, and natural landscapes—it’s really worth a visit! #WeekendWandering #RhodeIsland #Newport #NewportFood #TravelAroundTheWorld
