Next-Level Thai Food in New Orleans

SukhoThai is truly a hidden gem — honestly my wife's favorite restaurant in New Orleans. We've been over ten times! 🥡❤️ Recently we tried a Michelin Thai spot in Orlando (Isan Zaap) — delicious, but we both agreed it still doesn't compare to SukhoThai. I wanted to share more photos, but we’ve eaten here so often we stopped taking them 😅. Everything on their menu is fantastic, with flavors that are wonderfully layered and balanced. They have two locations — the newer one on Magazine St. has a nicer atmosphere. 🌶️ Spice levels: They usually have 4 or 5 levels — the top two are Spicy and Thai Spicy. "Spicy" is mild for us, but Thai Spicy is seriously hot 🥵🔥 — makes you sweat! We love spice so we always go for Thai Spicy. Choose your level wisely! 🍤 Cashew Shrimp and Scallops Our absolute favorite! The sauce is perfectly balanced, the scallops are tender, and the roasted basil adds incredible fragrance. Must order it Thai Spicy — the heat really brings out the flavors! My wife’s #1 pick 😍. 🍆 Eggplant Lover Similar flavor profile to the dish above, though slightly less complex. Still, if you love eggplant, it’s a must-try! 🐟 Three Flavor Fish with Shrimp and Scallops Crispy whole fish topped with Thai-style sauce — the fish, shrimp, and scallops are all tender and flavorful. Super satisfying with rice! These are our personal favorites, but their wok dishes, Pad Thai, and Pad See Ew are also excellent. Really, you can’t go wrong here — everything is consistently great. I’ll keep sharing more New Orleans recommendations — check out my New Orleans Food Guide below if you’re curious! 👇 #NewOrleans #NOLAFood #NOLAGuide #ThaiFood #HiddenGem #SpicyFoodLover
