🍁 Niagara Falls, Canada—Nearby Foodie Hot and Not So Hot Spots

🌟 Falls Best Restaurant - Absolutely delicious! We ended up eating here twice! The dishes far exceeded our expectations. The chicken noodle soup with sesame oil & scallions was perfectly seasoned, and the braised pork rice was sweet with just the right amount of fatty meat. The crispy chicken is made with chicken thighs, fried to a crispy perfection while remaining tender and juicy inside. On our second visit, we tried the fried shrimp cakes and fresh shrimp wontons. The shrimp cakes were crispy and perfectly cooked, and the wontons might just rank in my top 2 for the best I’ve ever had! 🍲🍤 🌟 Havana Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge - Cuban cuisine at a cozy little spot in the nearby community. The Pina Colada was fantastic! The seafood paella was tasty (though it could use more seafood), the sandwiches were good, but the Tostones (plantain chips) were a bit salty. 🍹🍽️ ✅ Peller Estates Winery and Restaurant - A winery restaurant in the Falls town. Overall, the food was decent. Their signature mushroom toast was delicious but a bit heavy on the palate. The oysters were fresh and sweet, while the braised beef was average. However, the scallops are highly recommended! The deck outside offers beautiful vineyard views, though it’s quite sunny in the summer and there are some bugs. On a cooler day, enjoying a glass of wine and a breeze here would be delightful. 🍷🌿 ✅ Fork You - Peruvian cuisine with pretty good ceviche that’s fresh and perfect for summer. However, the spaghetti was quite greasy, and the sirloin beef was overcooked... a bit disappointing considering the hype. The restaurant’s decor was quite cute though! 🍝🌽 ✅ Tide and Vine - Overall okay but not great value. The oysters were fresh and tasty, though a bit pricey. The signature scallop & pork dish had tender scallops and refreshing veggies, but the pork chop was really greasy... The seafood chowder had too many potatoes and the seafood was frozen. The Daily Catch salmon was nicely cooked! With an average cost of $75 CAD per person, it’s on the pricier side for Canada. 🦪🍲 #RomanticLifeJournal #TorontoDayTrips #RestaurantReview #FoodieAdventures #TorontoLife #TorontoDining
