No More Queuing Near the Eiffel Tower in Paris! 🙅♀️
Initially, I planned to visit Carette but saw a massive line at the entrance. It was scorching hot at noon, so I decided to check out Bistrot Le Poincaré, which had a 4.3 Google rating. The decor inside is adorable, and when it’s not crowded, you can take photos in front of the mirrors on the walls. Four of us spent 143.6€ and left feeling extremely full! Appetizers 🧅 Onion Cream Soup 💰14€ Surprisingly sweet! It was quite different from what I expected. 🐌 Baked Snails (GPT told me they’re actually field snails) 💰14€ Delicious, served with green sauce. Although many Google reviews mentioned the meat being tough, I prefer fully cooked snails, so they were just right for me. I usually don’t like green sauce, but the one here had a unique aroma that worked well. Main Courses 🐑 Lamb Shanks with Mashed Potatoes and Fried Eggplant 💰28€ The highlight of the meal! Before serving, the chef lit some herbs on fire to add a smoky touch. The lamb shanks were tender, almost like a perfectly roasted leg of lamb. The meat easily fell off the bone with just a fork, and it wasn’t tough or chewy at all. The lamb flavor was mild. The mashed potatoes seemed to have cheese in them, making them extra creamy and a perfect match for the lamb. The fried eggplant was just a small piece, but it was simply delicious as is. 🍆 🦆 Duck Breast with Orange Honey Sauce 💰27€ Also delicious! The duck breast had a steak-like texture, with a tender pink center that wasn’t tough to bite into. The cooking was spot on. The sauce was perfect for pairing, and there was a side of something like quinoa that added a nice texture to the dish. #Paris #FrenchCuisine #EiffelTower #FoodNearEiffelTower #FrenchDining
