Hands down the best bistro food we had in Paris!
During our 6 days stay in Paris Bistrot Le Poincaré happened to be just a few blocks away from our Airbnb. One day we stopped there for dinner and liked it so much that came back for lunch on the last day just before going to the airport :) Both times we sat outside, watching passers-by. The service was quick and super friendly.
During our visit to Paris we didn't go to upscale/fine dining/Michelin restaurants but ate at bistros and cafes similar to Bistrot Le Poincaré. Hands down Bistrot Le Poincaré had the best food we tasted in Paris! It was very fresh and absolutely delicious on both occasions! Presentation was also great like a piece of art! I wish I can visit this place again someday.
We highly recommend Bistrot Le Poincaré if you are in the area!

Read moreBistrot Le Poincaré presents itself as a standard Parisian café, featuring a classic ambience that embodies the charm of its cultural heritage. However, while the atmosphere is pleasant, it does not stand out as particularly memorable.
Upon arrival, our server was prompt in taking our order, which initially set a positive tone for the dining experience. Unfortunately, this efficiency did not extend to the remainder of our visit. It became increasingly difficult to locate our server when we needed refills, additional cocktails, or even proper silverware, which left us feeling somewhat neglected.
As for the food, it was passable but did not impress. The escargot, while flavorful, was slightly overcooked, making it a challenge to extract the snails from their shells. The onion soup was more akin to an onion purée than a traditional soup, though the taste was acceptable.
The lamb shank, which I had high hopes for based on its beautiful plating and presentation, was a bit of a letdown. The meat was dry, and the accompanying potato mash was served cold, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the dish.
The espresso martinis were also lackluster. Without the traditional cream or Baileys, they tasted more like a chilled shot of espresso mixed with vodka and simple syrup than a well-executed cocktail.
In summary, based on my experience at Bistrot Le Poincaré, I would hesitate to recommend this restaurant. However, I acknowledge that this may have been just a fluke of a day, and others might have a...

Today we arrived in Paris and as you can imagine the happiness is absolute!!.
In the end of the afternoon we decided to go to have dinner to a place called " Le poincare", we decided to come here because of the great reviews about the food and good service but our experience wasn't that good unfortunately!!!.
The food was excellent and two of the waiters/waitress who served us too, the bad moment came when we asked kindly the third waiter (the one that brought the food)( I think his name is Tom for what I could learn) to remove one of the empty bottles of waters on the table since the room there was so tiny that we were a bit uncomfortable. It's kind of difficult to explain in words what happened because we haven't even understood it yet !! but his bad reaction only for the fact of being asked to remove something from the table was so rude and violent that made us feel bad for the rest of the night.
Nobody deserves to be treated like that specially when you're trusting and leaving your money that was earned with effort and sacrifice.
The blond hair waitress and the black hair waiter were really really kind to us, that's the reason of the 3 stars and so the food, it was delicious.
It was at around 20:30-21:00hs on...
