This wasn’t our first time at Deannie’s—and it definitely won’t be the last! If you're visiting New Orleans, this spot is an absolute must. I’d even suggest trying something different each time you go—that’s how good and varied the menu is. My husband and I shared the BBQ shrimp as our main, and oh my—what a flavor explosion! 😋🍤 These weren’t just any shrimp: they were juicy, boldly seasoned, and drenched in a rich buttery sauce that had us licking our fingers. Yes, this is a hands-on dish—peeling, dipping, sopping up that sauce with fresh bread… pure bliss! 🥖💛 Photos really don’t do it justice. We also tried the potato salad—creamy, tangy, and classic. A few bites were plenty, so I’d definitely recommend sharing sides to save space for those incredible mains. My husband went with the boiled potatoes, which were simple but satisfying.
