This isn’t just any fish and chips—it’s a “national treasure” of the UK! It’s been named UK’s Best Fish and Chips and even won a prestigious national award. Spoiler: it lives up to every bit of the hype 🥇! 🐟 Fish & Chips We ordered two types of fish: haddock and cod—and both were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside (the ultimate fish and chips goal!). The chips are thick-cut and hearty too—perfect for soaking up sauce. Personal call: I loved the haddock’s texture more ! It’s flakier but still firm, with a subtle sweetness that cod doesn’t quite have. Pro tip: Don’t forget to sprinkle on some salt & pepper and a splash of vinegar—it’s the classic British way to eat it, and it takes the flavor to another level! 🐟 Jellied Eels This is a super traditional British dish—so traditional, you can barely find it anywhere else in the UK! But honestly? It wasn’t for me. The texture (jiggly, like savory jelly) and the strong, briny flavor were a bit too much to handle—I couldn’t get into it 😅. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for it… but fair warning, it’s an acquired taste! 🦞 Seafood Platter (Fried) This platter is a must for seafood lovers! It’s loaded with bite-sized fried fish, crispy squid rings, and a few other small fish varieties. The squid rings were the standout—tender inside, ultra-crispy outside, with zero rubbery texture.
