NOLA | 4-Day Escape to New Orleans: From NY’s Chill to Warmth!

New Orleans is such a hidden gem in the Eastern US! When New York is still chilly in February and March, spending 3-4 days here is pure comfort~ There aren’t tons of attractions, but each one is worth savoring—focus on a "slow, healing vibe" 🌴 ✈️ Day 1: Kick Off the Trip with a Tipsy Start! 🕒 11:35 Arrival at the airport: First stop, BigEZ Seafood near the airport for a light meal. The freshness was on point, setting a great tone for the trip~ 🍹 Afternoon: Head straight to the Sazerac House (cocktail museum)! Learn about cocktail history and enjoy free samples—unlock the joy of "drinking in the afternoon" with a nice buzz 🥂~ 🚶 Evening: Wander the French Quarter. The chaos of Bourbon St even shocked our two extroverted friends! On the way to dinner, we stumbled upon the St. Joseph’s Parade—joining the crowd in cheering was such a fun surprise 🎉~ 🍴 Dinner: Napoleon House, a super atmospheric spot! The jambalaya and gumbo were authentic, every bite packed with Southern flavor~ 🎷 Night: Spotted Cat Jazz Club. It felt like a mini dance party with great music, but it was a bit stuffy from the crowd. Perfect if you love a lively vibe! 🐊 Day 2: Nature & History Combo 🚌 Daytime: Book a combined "Swamp + Oak Alley Plantation" day tour! These two spots are far from downtown—if you don’t have a car, this tour saves time and transportation costs~ 🌿 Swamp Tour: Get up close to wild alligators, super exciting when the captain feeds them; 🌳 Oak Alley Plantation: The 300-year-old oak tree arcade is breathtaking, perfect for vintage-style photos! 🍤 Dinner: Deanie’s Seafood (a popular local spot)! We ordered BBQ shrimp and a half seafood platter. The soft-shell crab was crispy, but it was a bit greasy since everything was fried—too bad there were no smaller portions, so sharing with a group is better~ ☕️ Day 3: Food & History Collide 🍩 Breakfast: Cafe Beignet! Some people online said it’s too sweet, but I thought it was perfect~ The bread tastes like unsweetened fried donuts, coated in thick powdered sugar. Pair it with coffee to cut the sweetness—pure happiness ☕️~ 🕰️ Afternoon: The National WWII Museum! Even though I usually don’t like museums, I spent hours here—it’s huge with detailed exhibits, and the immersive experience was anything but boring~ 🍗 Evening: Willie Mae's Fried Chicken (a must-try)! The chicken is juicy and tender, served with cornbread and mashed potatoes—so satisfying~ 🦪 Night: Luke’s Happy Hour! The oysters were an absolute steal—fresh and plump, a perfect end to the day~ 🌄 Day 4: A Spontaneous Perfect Finale 🌅 Early Morning: Spontaneously went to watch the Mississippi River sunrise! It’s right by the riverbank next to Jackson Square. Watching the sun rise was so calming~ 🍳 Breakfast: Bearcat (the popular spot)! We ordered the lobster daddy and crab scramble—rich, flavorful, and the ideal way to wrap up the trip~ #TravelWithNotebook #travelersnotebook #TNNotebook #NewOrleans #CaptureTheMoment
