Nola | A Day of Exploring New Orleans: From Jazz to Voodoo

This is your ✨honest food critic Dan Dan✨! Today marks Day 4 of my New Orleans trip, and I spent the whole day wandering and exploring the French Quarter on foot 🚶♀️ 📍 Royal Street + LaBranche House I headed to Royal Street bright and early to wander around—this street is oozing with artistic vibes 🎨! The iron balconies of LaBranche House are so photogenic 📸—you absolutely have to snap a check-in photo here. The stunning French-style charm is unbeatable 🇫🇷! ⛪ St. Louis Cathedral With its white walls and blue dome, this cathedral is solemn yet elegant~Right across from it is Jackson Square, where street performers often put on shows 🎭. It’s perfect for strolling slowly and taking photos at your own pace~ 🚢 Steamboat NATCHEZ We only had time to take photos of it, but the Natchez (a classic steamboat) on the Mississippi River looks absolutely fantastic! 🛍️ French Market This is the ideal spot for eating, drinking, and shopping~You can find everything here: handcrafts, souvenirs, and food stalls ✨—it’s got all your needs covered! 🥃 The Sazerac House Free reservations are available on their official website. Here, you can learn about the origins of cocktails and the local mixology culture 🍸—super informative! 💀 Museum of Death The museum displays death-related cultural content, including historical archives and cultural materials. It’s perfect for friends interested in anthropology or criminal history 📜! ☕ French Truck Coffee I ordered cold brew and a latte—both were delicious and energizing 💛! The decor is fresh and minimalist; it’s a great place to relax and recharge~ 🌴 Congo Square One of the birthplaces of African American culture, this is where music, dance, and souls converge 💃🏾🎶. It’s like the "heartbeat" of jazz—you can almost feel the rhythm in the air! 🧿 New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum The museum showcases the historical background, religious rituals, and symbols of voodoo culture 🙌~Learning about the origins of voodoo dolls here was especially fascinating! 🍗 Willie’s Fried Chicken We chose this chain fried chicken spot for dinner, and it was a pleasant surprise! The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—pair it with spicy fries 🌶️, and every bite is satisfying! 🎷 Preservation Hall The grand finale of the day! No microphones, no light shows—just pure live jazz that strikes a chord in your heart 🎶. It’s recommended to arrive early and line up at the door~ ✨ Today was a day packed with culture, jazz, and mystery 🎆. The charm of New Orleans lies in this: it’s not just a city—it’s more like a soulful stage, with stories hidden around every corner 📖. #WhereToGoOnVacation #ShoutOutLocalFood #NewOrleansFood #NewOrleansTravel #NewOrleansTravelGuide #NewOrleansFoodExploration #NewOrleansFoodTour #NewOrleansFoodMap #NewOrleansFrenchQuarter
